U.S. Apple Consultant Network Background Screening Program

Apple has partnered with HireRight to conduct background screening for the Apple Consultant Network (ACN). Unless otherwise defined, the capitalized terms shall have the same meaning as such terms in the ACN Agreement. All Consultants must undergo background checks prior to participation in the ACN Program. Apple’s EWS program provides ACN members with access to Apple’s pre-approved background screening packages. Through this program, ACN members receive the benefit of Apple’s global pricing with HireRight which reduces the cost of each background report while providing top tier products and services. Please review the types of memberships below and select the plan that is most appropriate for your type of business. ACN members that fall under the Independent & Virtual Office membership must select this option.

Business Members

Businesses that meet the criteria listed below have the option to register with HireRight to create their own background screening account. If you do not meet the criteria listed below please refer to the Independent & Virtual Office Member option.

Eligibility Criteria:

I employ at least two Consultants; and
I have a commercial address.

The Business Member Point of Contact (POC) will need to register and successfully complete HireRight Vendor credentialing, which includes an onsite inspection, prior to initiating any background checks for their Consultants. This is a one-time set up process. Once registered, the Business Member POC will be able to initiate new Consultant checks through their HireRight account.

The Business Member POC will also have access to the My Documents resource folder located under the Forms & Documents section on the Screening Manager page. Be sure to review the EWS FCRA Explanation document regarding your FCRA responsibilities.

Independent & Virtual Office Members

Independent & Virtual Office members are not eligible to complete the onsite inspection requirement of the HireRight credentialing process and are therefore not eligible to create their own background screening account.

Independent & Virtual Office members will use Apple’s verified background screening account with HireRight packages.

Independent & Virtual Office members include:

  • sole proprietors;
  • single person corporations with no other employees;
  • home-based businesses;
    or
  • businesses that utilize a shared workspace as their commercial address

Independent & Virtual Office Members will complete a standard criminal search package. Once you have reviewed the FAQs below, please email the completed Authorization to Initiate form to acn@apple.com to get started.
