UniGroup Agents

There will be two additional documents, the Key Account Settings document and the SPI Waiver, which will need to be signed for your HireRight account. You will receive a separate email to sign the agreements electronically after you create your account. Your account will not be fully activated until both agreements have been signed.

SPI Waiver

Used for the unmasking of Sensitive Personal Information on your account where you can elect to individually unmask full or partial SSN, DL, and DOB for Background Screens, Management Reports, Data Feeds and access to Supporting Documents.

This agreement is used to ensure that your account is setup with the correct settings for the UniGroup HireRight Program.

The situations below are where additional charges may be incurred beyond the package price indicated:

Widescreen National Criminal Search

What is the Widescreen National Criminal Search and it’s benefit? The Widescreen National Criminal Search is a database search which includes hundreds of millions of records from 3 proprietary databases, including over 30 years worth of HireRight proprietary data. The benefit of this search is to be able to have the Widescreen National Criminal Search in your package and only pay for the additional products when they are ordered from potential records from the Widescreen National Criminal Search.

What additional charges are associated? When a County Criminal search is ordered from the Widescreen National Criminal Search outside of the addresses returned on the SSN Trace, there will be an additional Ala Carte charge for the Criminal Felony and Misdemeanor product. There may also be searches from the Federal Criminal – National, National Sex Offender Registry, Prohibited Parties, Statewide Criminal Search and any AKA or Maiden names which are ordered from the Widescreen National Criminal Search and will charge the Ala Carte charge for those products.

Surcharges

What are they? Some courthouses charge fees to conduct county felony and misdemeanor criminal searches. These fees are implied to cover their own internal expenses and are therefore outside of HireRight’s control. HireRight does not mark up any of these fees; they are passed directly to you.

Do all state and courthouses charge fees? About 1/3 of all counties have surcharges and the counties within each state vary (i.e. some will charge, some will not)

Credentialing enables HireRight to confirm that its subscribers are valid legal entities and that they will comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”) and other applicable laws. For example, we need to verify that your business does not share office space with another entity, that reasonable security controls are in place, and that there is proper business signage. This helps HireRight verify the presence of an ongoing business with a permissible purpose for obtaining consumer background report information and adequate security to protect said information.

All new customers undergo credentialing. TrendSource, our third party contractor will contact you to schedule the onsite inspection. Please allow several business days for TrendSource to complete the onsite inspection report prior to sending it to HireRight for a final review. Once the credentialing process is complete, you will be able to view your reports in HireRight. If you are already have an account with HireRight you may not be subjected to the onsite inspection again; HireRight will review your existing account to verify.

Yes. HireRight has many training options available to you. When you register your account, you will be sent a HireRight user guide. This is also available from the left menu Training section of your HireRight account. You have access to online training, live weekly sessions and documentation all from this Training section of your account. Please also make note of the live chat option and customer service number which are staffed 24 hours a day, 5 days a week and are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
