Yes, Your account set up includes an Onsite Inspection. This is a onetime fee of $150.00

Because HireRight is a Credit Reporting Agency (CRA) we are required by regulations and contractual agreements to maintain the integrity of the data entrusted to us. The purposes of the physical inspection is to verify that all users of our information are legitimate business entities, conducting business as disclosed during registration, and that proper security controls are in place and to ensure that appropriate access security is maintained. The inspection is performed by an approved third party vendor. Our inspection vendor does not use the collected information for any other purpose except to provide HireRight with the necessary physical inspection information required per its policy and contracts.

What are they?

Some states charge fees to perform motor vehicle record checks and some courthouses to conduct county felony and misdemeanor criminal searches. These fees are implied to cover their own internal expenses and are therefore outside of HireRight's control. HireRight does not mark up any of these fees; they are passed directly to you.

Yes - HireRight has many training option available to you. When you register your account, you will be sent a HireRight user guide. This is also available from the left menu Training section of your HireRight account. You have access to online training, live weekly sessions and documentation all from this Training section of your account. Please also make note of the customer service number they are staffed 24 hours a day, 5 days a week and are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

To remain compliant, an Employer has 3 primary responsibilities:

1. Obtain authorization and consent from the applicant before requesting the background check.
2. Offer a copy of the report to the applicant if the applicant resides in CA, MN, or OK.
3. If you are not hiring the applicant based on derogatory information in their background check and you are going to take "Adverse Action" (meaning you are not going to hire the person because of it), you are required to send the applicant a series of notifications/letters called Pre-Adverse/Adverse Letters explaining your action and including a copy of the report.
